Organic tea has become an indispensable part of the diet for those who care about their health and are environmentally friendly, who strive to “keep up” with the time. Organic tea is grown only high in the mountains in ecologically clean areas. No chemicals, including artificial fertilizers, are used during its cultivation, only natural substances – compost, humus, peat, lactoserum, etc. Such tea is picked only by hand.
The environmentally friendly way of the organic tea production gives a wonderful result in the taste of the ready product. It contains a higher concentration of particularly useful tea components: antioxidants, catechins, vitamin C. Organic teas have a more intense, brighter taste and a particularly deep aroma. No wonder, organic products often become the winner of various international tea competitions.
Why is the price of an organic tea higher than the price of an ordinary tea?
Only natural methods of cultivation affect the crop volumes: they are significantly lower than if modern agrotechnologies were used. And the amount of time and labour spent on cultivating an organic raw material unit is greater than when cultivating ordinary tea. Besides, this tea is picked only by hand. Finally, not every factory is able to pack it, since special permissions and special production conditions to manufacture such a product are required.
Are all the products labelled as “bio” organic?
Organic products are the products grown, processed and packed under carefully controlled conditions according to a special technology and have a documentary evidence of their organic origin. The healthy diet popularity sometimes forces producers to the imitation of organic products. For example, you can often see the packaging with the words “bio”, “natural”, etc. But it does not mean these are “organic” goods. Only a special mark and an organic certificate on the packaging indicate that there is an organic product in the package.
