By output volumes, the leading tea producers are China, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Indonesia. The top five exporters are India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Kenya and Uganda. England, Ireland, Turkey, Russia, New Zealand, Australia and Morocco remain to be the main consumers of this wonderful drink.An average Ukrainian consumes 450 g of tea every year, which is ten times less than an average person from England – the world’s leader in tea consumption. In general, global tea intake is growing rapidly, being fueled primarily by domestic demand in the producing countries.

Tea has become so popular not only because of its taste – it has been famous for its healing properties long since. Drinking much tea opens the door to secrets of longevity. Drinking tea regularly reduces the risk of cancer (for example, the Chinese cancer rate is six times lower than in other countries), prevents cardiovascular, liver and intestine diseases. Tea helps to bring down the blood sugar level, maintain normal cholesterol content, relaxes the digestive tract and regulates fat processing. In addition, tea has a tonic effect, stimulates mental activity, is a good source of vitamins, helps to reduce stress and improves working capacity, builds up immunity and is knows as a well-proven means to cure colds.
