This summer, JSC Monomakh will be one of the first Ukrainian tea producers to introduce certified organic tea onthe market. Monomakh’s product portfolio includes black tea, green tea, a mixture of black and green tea, bergamot and vanilla flavoured teas with natural oils and organic lemon balm herbal tea.

“These are premium products from LOVARE Organic,” saysInna Nevmerzhytska, quality director at Monomakh. “All our teastaste great;our green tea is especially interesting.We offer consumers loose tea and tea bags. Tea leaves are sourced from Kenya, China and Ceylon.”

Monomakh received the European Organic Standardlabel in 2017,entitling the company to marketorganic products. The machines and processes were certified, asorganicraw materials should be stored, registered and packaged separately from all the other products, and the equipment should undergo mandatory pre-treatment to handle organic raw materials. All works are now complete: production lines specially prepared, staff trained, initial quality control checked and production cycle set up.

Today, organic products are becoming more popular in Ukraine, whereas they have long been the number-one trend in food culturein Europe. At JSC Monomakh, we hope that the Organic Standard will allow us to marketLOVARE Organic tea not only in Ukraine but also in Europe.
